Prior to joining Kalliolaw she worked at a New York-based law firm in Helsinki and she has also worked at a law firm in New York. Tarja Pirinen specializes in mining and information technology. She has assisted several international mining companies in acquisitions and transactions within the mining sector as well as in the legal questions relating to mining projects and the management of rights under mining law. She has also negotiated and been the primary attorney in several significant license and technology transfer agreements and in other technology related transactions. Tarja Pirinen has been elected as one of the top 100 mining law lawyers in the world in 2011 by Lawyer Monthly Magazine.
