Kalliolaw successfully represented plaintiff Mr Erkki Paananen, an experienced industrial entrepreneur, in an extensive case related to art forgery. In the judgement of the Helsinki Court of Appeal on February 26th 2021, the Court ordered the defendants to pay the plaintiff Erkki Paananen in total over 4,9 million euros of compensation for his damages. The Helsinki Court of Appeal’s trial involved of approximately 130 paintings that were suspected to be counterfeits.
