Kalliolaw successfully represented Anstar Oy in patent litigations in the Market Court in Finland
Peikko Group Oy sued Anstar Oy in 2020 for alleged patent infringement. Anstar disputed the claim and made a counterclaim against Peikko, demanding that Peikko’s patent must be revoked. According to Anstar, Peikko’s patent lacked e.g. inventiveness, i.e. the patent should never have been granted.
In September 2023, the Market Court has given its verdicts and revoked Peikko’s old patent due to the lack of inventiveness and dismissed Peikko’s infringement claim.
Kalliolaw’s Sonja Kurki, Attorney-at-Law, and Johanna Maria Kajaste, Attorney-at-Law, represented Anstar in this case. Anstar’s patent attorney was European Patent Attorney Jyrki Nissinen from Papula-Nevinpat.
